Chapter 7: Winter's Warmth
Winter arrived quietly in Tokyo, blanketing the city in a soft layer of snow. Wrapped in scarves and warm coats, Eriko and Sammi walked hand-in-hand through the quiet streets, their footsteps leaving delicate trails behind them. The chilly air felt invigorating, yet Eriko felt nothing but warmth beside Sammi.
They stopped at a small bridge overlooking a frozen pond, watching as gentle snowflakes danced gracefully down from the pale sky. Eriko squeezed Sammi’s hand softly.
"This feels perfect," Sammi whispered, leaning gently against Eriko.
Eriko’s heart swelled. "Every moment with you does."
Sammi turned, cheeks flushed from more than the cold, and cupped Eriko’s face tenderly. "Can I kiss you?"
"Always," Eriko replied, her voice steady, sure, and full of quiet joy.
As snowflakes kissed their skin softly, their lips met gently, marking the beginning of a deeper journey together beneath the quiet warmth of winter.
