Sammi & Eriko: let us know and understand our love

Sammi knew from the beginning that she wanted to spend her life with Eriko. But it wasn’t just about being together—it was about making Eriko *happy*. She wanted to be the reason Eriko smiled, the one who showed her how beautiful life could be, the one who brought her little moments of joy and even ecstasy in the simplest things.

### **A Simple Promise**

One quiet evening, as they lay on the couch, Sammi made her promise. “Eriko,” she whispered, running her fingers through Eriko’s long black hair, “I want to spend the rest of my life making you smile. I mean it—*that’s* my purpose.”

Eriko looked up, her gaze softened by the vulnerability in Sammi’s eyes. She understood the depth of Sammi’s love—this promise, she realized, was Sammi’s way of saying she’d be there forever. Eriko reached out, letting her fingers trace a gentle line along Sammi’s jaw. “Then let me show you how much that means to me.”

For Eriko, returning Sammi’s affection wasn’t a matter of grand gestures or flowery words. She didn’t have the effervescent charm that came so naturally to Sammi. But she loved Sammi with a quiet intensity that made her want to step outside her comfort zone and find ways to let Sammi feel the depth of her feelings.

### **The Language of Small Gestures**

Eriko’s gestures were subtle, yet full of meaning. Every morning, she’d make Sammi a cup of coffee, carefully measuring out the cream and sugar, remembering how Sammi liked it. She’d leave little notes in Sammi’s lunch bag—simple phrases like “thinking of you” or “thank you for being you.” She’d listen intently when Sammi talked about her favorite manga, remembering small details so she could surprise her later with a related book or a small gift.

One day, she planned an outing to a cherry blossom park nearby. She knew how much Sammi adored the delicate blooms, and she hoped the quiet beauty of the blossoms would be enough to show her how much she cared. As they walked under the blooming trees, Sammi’s eyes lit up, and Eriko felt a flicker of pride and happiness she could barely contain.

“Eriko, this is beautiful,” Sammi whispered, her gaze transfixed on the pink blossoms overhead.

Eriko took Sammi’s hand, a shy smile playing on her lips. “I wanted to bring you somewhere… that reminds me of how you make me feel.”

Sammi’s eyes shimmered with tears, and she pulled Eriko close. “You do make me happy, you know. Every little thing you do—it’s all so thoughtful, so… *you.*”

### **Embracing Joy Together**

As time passed, they built a life of shared rituals and quiet joys. Sammi would surprise Eriko with small bursts of happiness—a spontaneous dance in the living room, a new yuri manga she thought Eriko might like, or simply holding Eriko close when she sensed her mood was heavy. And every time Eriko would smile—truly, deeply smile—Sammi felt a rush of pure joy.

Eriko, in turn, learned to let Sammi in, sharing her feelings in small, cautious steps. When she was feeling vulnerable, she’d let Sammi hold her, trusting that Sammi’s warmth could shield her from life’s harshness. She’d share her poetry, read her favorite lines, and even attempt to dance with Sammi, clumsily following her lead as Sammi twirled her around the living room, their laughter filling the air.

One evening, after a particularly joyful day spent together, Eriko sat beside Sammi in the glow of twilight. She looked at her partner, her heart swelling with gratitude and love. Reaching for Sammi’s hand, she spoke softly, her voice filled with a rare openness.

“You make me feel… alive, in ways I never knew were possible. And I want you to know—I’ll spend my life showing you just how much that means to me.”

Sammi’s eyes filled with tears, her hand squeezing Eriko’s. “You already do, Eriko. Every single day.”

In the comfort of that quiet moment, with the room bathed in soft light and their hands entwined, they knew their love was a promise—a promise to create a life of shared joy, where each day was another step in a journey filled with laughter, tenderness, and endless ways of saying “I love you.”

And for Eriko, the realization was as powerful as it was simple: happiness wasn’t something that could be grasped or held; it was something that blossomed in the presence of love. And in Sammi, she had found her garden.
